Trip to Koronadal City (Marbel), Mindanao
I have a trip in Mindanao, particularly Marbel last August 25 to visit my girl friend Michelle. I have one question in mind and that is how to get there? I've try to look for a map of Marbel over the net but no available map and try to look for a map in National Bookstore but still no available map until I have to face August 25 and see for myself on how to get there. I just relied to my girl friend Michelle on how to get there by her instruction.
From General Santos Airport. As I have all my things packed-up and go to domestic airport still I feel excited at the same time a bit scared. It's a good thing that Cebu Pacific offer domestic flights affordable the reason I have a chance to visit my girl friend within my budget. As I arrived from General Santos airport there's no public transportation except for taxi which will cost you P350.00 just to bring you to the Yellow Bus station. In Manila I think the equivalent cost of it is only P100.00 but since most of the passengers who arrived from General Santos have cars to fetch them and very rare that passengers take taxi they charge you that much but what can I do since it is the prevailing rate.
From General Santos City. Take a Yellow Bus which have a sign going to Marbel. The cost of bus cost you from General Santos City to Marbel is P60.00 only not to mention that it is already an air conditioned bus. It will take you like an hour to get there with an average speed of 60 kph.
From Koronadal City (Marbel). The only available transport going to point A to B in Marbel is by riding a tricycle which cost you per special ride of P20.00. Among the malls and supermarket there are KCC, Fit Mart and Ace.
Going back to Gensan Airport. On your own its very hard to find a taxi within the city of General Santos. As per my experience I ride a tricycle special rate which cost me P200.00 from the city going to airport compare to taxi which cost me P350.00 at least I have a savings of P150.00 during those time that I leave General Santos, Mindanao there's an ongoing Tuna Festival from September 3 onwards, oh I miss that opportunity to eat tuna all you can for free at the city streets of Gensan.
